This is a live recording from a gig I did for the amazing Feeding Tube online event series that went on during the lockdown days. Also available from Feeding Tube on a lathe cut - see link above if you want to buy that. I may get a few copies in the forthcoming weeks so check back or get in touch if you want one sent from the UK to save on postage.

Words from Byron Coley:

"Sophie Cooper is one of Yorkshire’s pre-eminent underground musicians. She can create anything from floating folk harmonics to ghastly noise manipulations, whilst appearing to have a most excellent time doing whatever it is she’s up to .

I’ve heard Sophie play in more formats than I can easily recall, and she has released a couple of prior albums with Feeding Tube — Divine Ekstasy (FTR342, a sumptuous duo with Delphine Dora) and Plutonic Shine (FTR499, a sort of post-industrial psych LP by The Slowest Lift, her amazing partnership with VCO’s Julian Bradley).

Sophie promised us something “exciting” for the evening of Friday Dec 4, 2020, and she certainly delivered. Playing trombone in the post-post-Rutherford tradition, with signals interrupted by pedals, and crazy vocals barging in from oblique angles, her set was a wild blast from start to finish. It’s a mesmerizing and baffling performance, certain to scratch the inside of your skull in places you never even knew you could itch.

We can only applaud her neighbors for becoming as wrapped up in the sounds as we were.

Beautiful stuff."

Shout out to Jake who looked after our pets during the recording of this and to Matt and Amy next door who didn't care that I was playing a noise set through the wall at 2am.
